About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial and residential construction projects across our tri-state service area. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients throughout project lifecycle
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
  • Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while resolving issues proactively
  • Ensure all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Manage procurement and delivery of materials and equipment
  • Prepare detailed project reports and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects ranging from $2M to $20M
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Experience with retail, hospitality, or commercial tenant fit-out projects preferred
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites in NJ, NY, and MA
  • OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • PMP or CCM certification is a plus
